Recap: June

I set out on my eight-week summer holiday with specific goals for each month. June’s intentions included reading, work in the basement, playing new music daily, and a systematic codification of vocal exercises that I use or could use in the voice studio. And, glory be, I accomplished each of these tasks to some extent.

Celebration #2

The first of three studio recitals, closing the 2024-25 teaching year, was one week ago Sunday. Eleven students sang, all with what I consider personal best performances. Such growth was so evident! At Jeffrey Richard Carter Studios LLC, the semester wraps up tonight with a final studio recital. We had one on Saturday as well, with seventeen students singing so very well indeed! April recital

Proud teacher time! Ten of my private voice students performed in recital this past weekend. Four made recital debuts. Three performed on the heels of state music festival. One rolled in from an SAT prep class, another from a technical rehearsal for a dance show. My kids are professionals! The program: Photos:
