Stone Sea
Stone Sea is a site-specific installation at the Saint Louis Art Museum. Occasionally the museum opens the courtyard to a few people who snap up tickets quickly when they are announced. I scored one recently, for a 20-minute tour last week. What a lovely little excursion this was!
Forest Park
Local tourism is one of weekly activities on the agenda for this quarter-year away from university teaching (AKA summer break). I started last week with a lecture at the Missouri History Museum. The topic was ‘forgotten cemeteries of Saint Louis.’ Then I drove around Forest Park on a beautiful mid-Spring day.
