Morgan Library

One of my favorite places to visit in NYC is the Morgan Library. Last week, the changing exhibition included: Mahler sketches for his Fifth Symphony: I love this place!

H. T. Burleigh

Today is the commemoration, in the Episcopal calendar, of Henry Thacker Burleigh, African-American composer, musician, artist, and singer. Burleigh was one of the first two compose concert arrangements of Negro spirituals. While he died more than 60 years ago, his legacy lives on as daily we hear and sing this moving and wonderful music.
