And then the weekend was booked solid!
Saturday:
11 a.m. Steve Woolf memorial service at Webster
3 p.m. Circus Flora performance especially to see the Arches perform
8 p.m. Jersey Boys at Stages to see my students in music-directing roles
Sunday:
9.30 a.m. Sub at a Presbyterian church in Glendale
2 p.m. Panelist for the Chicagoland chapter of the National Association of Teachers of Singing
5 p.m. Adjudicator training for St. Louis Musical Theatre Awards 2021-22
Somewhere in there I need to make some bread and do some laundry.
But Fall Break has commenced. I’ll head to Chicago later this week. First, though, is a visit to the dermatologist, and a visit from a window cleaning service at home, and perhaps some macarons in the kitchen, and voice lessons, and a few hours at school to prep another couple of weeks of specifics for the applied musicianship class I’m teaching this semester — all in the first three days of this week!
Oh . . . and get my COVID vaccine booster shot on Tuesday morning.

Dr. Carter,
Looking forward to the Chicago Chapter NATS event taking place today. Thanks so much for joining us for this very special workshop on College Auditions and Admissions. We’re excited to share your expertise with our teachers, students and parents. Thanks again!
