Holiday 2021: on the pier
Random snaps from the pier as we were waiting to board our harbor cruise vessel:
Holiday 2021: waterfall
Silver Falls in Mount Rainier National Park. Just lovely.
Holiday 2021: random photos
I was fascinated by this water taxi taking someone or something to the huge Royal Caribbean ship anchored in Elliott Bay.
Holiday 2021: Mount Rainer visit
An away day today. Mount Rainer. Majesty and glory. I couldn’t help but mutter to myself “The heavens declare the glory of God, and the earth shows God’s handiwork.” We circumnavigated the mountain, at 14K+ the tallest in the continental United States. Holiday 2021: Chihuly
Saturday’s lone pre-booked event was the Chihuly Garden and Glass, just south of the Space Needle. The permanent exhibition features works created by Washington native (from Tacoma) Dale Chihuly. And it’s stunning. My favorites were the glass ceiling, and Chihuly’s interpretation of a lily pond. The lily pond: And outdoors:
Holiday 2021: Pike Place Market food tour
Kevin and I booked a food tour of Pike Place Market, using the tours listed on Viator, with which I have almost always been pleased. And this tour was pleasing indeed. Will the Tour Guide was quite an informative chap, helping us understand the history of Pike Place Market through stories and food. He’s aContinue reading “Holiday 2021: Pike Place Market food tour”
