Limoncello

After not making limoncello last summer, I started the process this past week. Here’s a 750 of Everclear and the zest of eight lemons. In three months’ time, this will ultimately end up as several small bottles of very sweet 95 proof limoncello.

This year’s limoncello bounty: One bottle is already given away, so this represents most of the 1.5 L. It’s good stuff! And I recycled some Vom Fass bottles.

And that, friends and neighbors, is the beginning of this year’s limoncello.

I have started this year’s Limoncello. That’s the zest of six large, ripe lemons and a bottle of cheap grain alcohol. Give this about two months, and I’ll circle back with an update.
