The dogs of my life . . . They’ve come in three batches: childhood post-college and in the first house I owned after moving to Saint Louis I’m missing Oliver and Goldie and Elmo the Bassett Hound.

Snowball

A couple of  weeks ago, on National Dog Day, I posted that I couldn’t find good photos of two of my earlier dogs. This is Snowball, adopted as a puppy in late 1971.  She lived until 1981 or 1982. I was away at college when she crossed the rainbow bridge.  She was my girl. And
