After years of running my voice studio as a sole proprietorship, I have finally organized as a limited liability company, or LLC.
As of Saturday last week, the studio is Jeffrey Richard Carter Studios LLC. This changes nothing except for some legal protections. And I have to file an annual report and fee with the Missouri Secretary of State’s office.
But it’s fun to finally, in my 36th year of teaching, be official.
