Learning

Earlier this week, I decided to have a cheat meal. A cheat meal of rather impressive cheating. Food I’ve not had in more than three months.

And I learned what happens to my system when I do.

Hi-Pointe Drive-in is a definite favorite of mine, and I was hungry, and the drive-in was just a block off my usual drive home. So I drove in.

A patty melt and a half a mound of seasoned fries later, I was full. And I got home just after 1 p.m.

My mistake was not taking a walk. And then taking a nap around 3 p.m. because I felt so tired.

Well, I was tired in part because I’d just gorged on empty carbs, and then not had any exercise.

I yawned my way through the rest of the day.

And even the next morning my blood sugar was still high.

Lesson learned. If eating at Hi-Pointe, exercise afterwards! And do the bread or the fries, but not both.
