1989

A letter written on Christmas Day 1989, to my parents as they were in Argentina as missionaries.

In this letter:

  • Mike would be my then-roommate in the house I had just purchased a year before. He still lives in eastern Jackson County and is in the emergency health field.
  • The Young family was for a long time my surrogate family as my own parents were out of the country. I’ve not been in touch with them in years, but I am now determined to renew communion.
  • Brian McCoy was a college roommate, and I was best man in his wedding to Madonna Enyeart. He is now a pastor in Phoenix.
  • Phillip Stevens was a local musician known to me and my family, and a helluva violist. He is now a professor of viola in Colorado.
