Masking

Why I keep masking . . . .

  1. I continue to purchase a number of fun and interesting masks from Beau Ties Ltd. The masks are now as much of a fashion accessory as my cufflinks and spectacles!
  2. Science tells us that masks are generally effective at reducing the spread of the COVID-19 virus. https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/coronavirus/in-depth/coronavirus-mask/art-20485449
  3. I care about my health, and wish to reduce, in any way possible, my own risk of catching COVID-19 (or the flu, or a cold). Masks help.
  4. I care about others, and in the off chance that I am carrying the virus, I do wish to reduce my own possibility of spreading droplets that might infect others. Wearing a mask will better protect those around me from infection.
  5. I believe in common sense.
  6. A new strain of the virus has emerged in South Africa, and it appears to have mutated significantly enough that our current immunizations may not be as effective as we would wish. So . . .
  7. I’ll keep wearing a mask until science tells me that it is now safe not to do so.
