An epitaph

Looking back to 2013 . . . .

From St. Paul’s Cathedral, London, at the John Howard monument:

“He trod an open but unfrequented path to immortality, in the ardent and unintermitted exercise of Christian charity.”

May this be said of me, too, when I am done and my days are no more.

Yorkshire, 2013.
