Cold

I spent some time yesterday on my front porch visiting with a much-loved voice student, now in college.

And Nelson was there too.

Winter break is usually a time when I catch up with many of my former students, but the virus has curtailed in-person visits, to my dismay. I’m grateful to Aaron for joining me for a cup of tea and outdoors conversation, in spite of the snow and chill.

The quilt, by the way, was started by mother in the Dresden plate design. She didn’t finish it before she died, so a family friend completed the quilt.
