Rosiland Elias has died.
I last saw her in the Broadway revival of Follies in 2011.
And she was the stage director for my professional singing debut in the chorus of Carmen at the Lyric Opera in Kansas City more than 30 years ago.
Rest well, beloved soprano.
My favorite ditty by Ralph Vaughan Williams (1872-1958), “Silent Noon.”
The text includes the ideas of open handing and clasping to our hearts, so it’s enough about touch to satisfy me today on this 51st day of total physical distance from others.
And stay tuned for a big weekend reveal….
