Lessons learned

Or, perhaps I should title this blog post THOUGHTS ABOUT FRIDAY.

How can a whole classroom of musical theatre majors let me go through a whole 50-minute class with my fly down?

Meetings with colleagues, wherein we discuss substantial and meaningful items, are a true delight.

The rituals of life and death help bind us together.  I attended visitation for a donor to our music department on Friday, chatting with her sons just feet from her casket.  And I am reminded again of the power of love, and of community.

Friday evenings  at home, finishing music for a show, can be just as satisfying as going out and catching a concert or movie.

Caesar Salad is just a joy.  And my homemade dressing really is a winner.

The sun has come up every day this week.  The world is not ending.
