Panel discussion

I joined a panel discussion earlier this week!

The note-taker notes that I apparently said:

  • He had a specific goal in mind: publication after the grant (note that the grant does not pay for publication costs themselves)
  • His proposal for this year is clearly defined and narrow in scope
  • It is important to state how this project benefits Webster and increases our institution’s profile
  • Emphasized the need for a “finished product that is somehow distributable.”

I’m glad I made sense!

And I’m working on a dandy idea for a grant for this next academic year . . . !

(By the way, the photo is three years old, but it shows me doing something noteworthy, so I used it.)
