Food Week: gin tasting

Don’t call me a lush, but I currently have eight different gins at home.

gin - 4Ransom dry gin from Oregon is a dry, complex, incredibly dense gin that still manages to be light on the tongue.  The bottle lists hops and Marionberry amongst the ingredients, making a nod to the Oregon territory where the gin is made.

The distiller mentions ‘clean, focused botanicals,’ and I agree totally.  This is not my go-to gin, but it’s a lovely change, and the inclusion of hops is pleasant surprise to the palate.
