The Shard

The Shard is London’s newer iconic skyline addition.  It was under construction when I was here in 2013, but is now open, with observation decks way up in the high 60 floors.  One observation deck is enclosed, while the other is open air (and cold at 10 p.m. when the sun goes down).

Panoramic 360-degree views of London are lovely from 600-feet in the air.  I saw many of the same things I saw earlier in the day, but now from the south bank of the Thames, and from double the height.
