Old Wicked Songs

I have now spent three nights with the cast and director of New Jewish Theatre‘s next production, Old Wicked Songs.

And I am smitten with the script.

My role is music director — teaching the actors how to look like they are playing the piano, teaching them the music from Schumann’s wondrous Dichterliebe, helping with pronunciation, and of course recording the 40 piano cues for live playback on the mighty Yamaha.

The show goes up in March.  And I can say already it’s going to be good….
