Overcast morning, so I stayed in and did work. Believe me, there’s plenty to do.
Exhibitor check-in opened at 1 p.m. I checked in.
And then I adjudicated a preliminary round of singing.
In a ‘small world’ coincidence, on my judging panel was a voice professor from Boston Conservatory, who of course knows Emma Sorenson (Webster BM ’13, now at BoCo) and Ryan Overberg (who I taught at Ball State years ago before he went to OCU and finally to BoCo) and Evan Michael Haas (who I taught at Webster before he transferred to BoCo). And a former member of the Simon Carrington Chamber Singers, now at Pepperdine, was also on the jury. The world is too very small, and we are all so connected!
Now, after surgery to part of my display (thank you, Westin staff!!), I am off to find some dinner. My room service breakfast has long since run out.
