My Bible/Book of Common Prayer combo volume is falling apart after 18 years of regular use. The bonded leather has given up the ghost and is flaking and peeling and leaving little remnants of its former glory.
So what is one to do? Commission D to make a new leather cover, of course. And D’s usual flair shows forth, in an oxblood-colored leather cover, complete with a braided cross on the spine. And a reminder of the Trinity rising above, as if a tongue of flame at Pentecost.
