I’ve breakfasted on French toast and bacon, and have boiled some black beans in prep for lunch today.
The full day includes church this morning, a recital at school at 4, then the Cathedral Concerts annual gala this evening (suit and tie for that one, instead of tuxedo).
The full week in front of me includes guest-conducting Rise Above the Walls by Greg Gilpin (written for the Gateway Men’s Chorus) with the combined choirs of the Ladue schools on Tuesday evening, attending a symphony orchestra concert at UMSL on Monday, and hosting my dear friend Adam on Thursday evening. I depart for Ft. Wayne, Indiana on Friday just as soon as 15 new-student auditions are finished.
My high school soprano, Emily, received a I at solo/ensemble contest yesterday. I am well-pleased, and she is too.
