I first heard Gerald Finzi’s In terra pax in 1993 or 1994, when I sang it at Grace and Holy Trinity Cathedral in Kansas City. This was my first introduction to Finzi. While his music doesn’t grab me as viscerally as Howells, Elgar, and RVW, it’s pretty smashing.
