My first week in St. Louis, 2

Tired tonight.  I spent money this morning on a new washer and dryer.  And I opened a bank account here.  There went two hours.

Meetings at the office today, and more work on the getting the new computer configured.  I had dinner with Glen and Tim at their apartment in the Central West End, then took a walk around that neighborhood.

I found myself thinking today that this move seems so much more comfortable and natural than the move to Kentucky in 1999 or the move to Indiana in 2000.  Perhaps I’m coming home, and I can feel it.  Perhaps I’m much more settled in my professional life, my place in the world, my calling and vocation.  Perhaps this sense of peace, and this lack of anguish at moving and starting anew, is a function of all of the above?  I think it may be.

I finished ten more boxes today, including most of the bathroom stuff.  And I located my everyday kitchen dishes.
