I flew out of Innsbruck on a prop plane tonight, one that was filled to the limits with happy Austrians. Now in Vienna, I’m safely at my hotel. The Danube canal is right across the street, and the notorious night-spots of the Bermuda Triangle district are just a few steps away. I’m too tired tonight to deal with anything other than a bit of email, though. The local Webster campus left a packet of info for me, and I’ll check into that before I go to sleep.
Brenden made roasted rabbit with raspberry sauce, new potatoes, and a fresh salad for dinner tonight. He let me in the kitchen long enough to make the sherry and shallot dressing.
We realized this week that we don’t have a photo of the two of us together, after all these years of music and life. Here’s a parting photo from Innsbruck.

What a neat shot! How wonderful it is to spend time with those you have nurtured (and nudged, in some cases)… this is what makes teaching, and the performing arts, so wonderful!
